The NACS (Nutrition, Assessment, Counseling, and Support) approach has been scaled up to over 100 health facility sites in the DR Congo, mostly in Kinshasa and Katanga provinces, as part of a national effort to integrate nutrition interventions into health programs for people living with HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and other related opportunistic infections. FANTA has worked closely with the National Nutrition Program and the National Program to Fight AIDS, as well as a consortium of development partners, to create a number of materials that support the implementation of NACS at the national, provincial, and local levels.
