From 2012 to 2016, FANTA and partners worked to answer the call from the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo to create a more comprehensive package of HIV/AIDS services by integrating nutrition interventions. To meet this need, the NACS (nutrition assessment, counseling, and support) approach was piloted in 12 health clinics in the provinces of Kinshasa and Katanga. In less than two years following the pilot, NACS was successfully implemented in more than 100 sites. Five best practices from the pilot and implementation are highlighted in this French-language brief.
