Between 2012 and 2018, FANTA supported the Government of Mozambique’s multifaceted efforts to improve nutrition for all Mozambicans. This legacy report explains how FANTA, using a collaborative approach, helped develop policies, strategies, technical materials, and data management tools that strengthened nutrition programming and capacity at the national level. The report also describes how FANTA provided hands-on, intensive support to provinces, districts, and health facilities to help the government improve nutrition coordination and implementation of the Nutrition Rehabilitation Program (Programa de Reabilitação Nutricional), leading to better-managed and more effective services. The report offers lessons learned and recommendations for continuing to improve and expand nutrition interventions in Mozambique.
