This report presents findings from a qualitative research study undertaken by FANTA to strengthen understanding of the household-level dynamics between smallholder agriculture, food security, and nutrition outcomes in two districts of Uganda. The study findings indicate that the relationship between these factors is complex and changing, and a range of intersectoral efforts is needed to enable households in the study areas to meet their food security and nutrition needs. The report identifies program and policy recommendations for each district and specifies where additional research is needed.
