FANTA reviewed community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) program implementation, including institutionalization and promising practices, in Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, and Niger to assess the degree to which CMAM had been incorporated into those countries’ government health facilities and protocols. The reviews include a status report for each country; lessons learned; and recommendations on challenges, promising practices, and gaps to be addressed. The summary report discusses key determinants to achieving maximum impact of CMAM integration, scale-up, and quality improvement.
