Selective feeding programs to treat acute malnutrition have been operating in Greater Darfur since 2004. This report assesses the quality, efficacy, and effectiveness of Darfur’s selective feeding programs and provides evidence-based recommendations for improvement through such activities as training, technical support, and advocacy. The review covers selective feeding programs and services for both center-based and community-based management of acute malnutrition. The review was conducted by FANTA, UNICEF, and the World Food Programme in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and the South, North, and West Darfur State ministries of health.
