On August 26, 2016, FANTA hosted a workshop in Nairobi for Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) country focal points from across Africa on preventing and managing conflict of interest in the context of the SUN movement. The workshop provided practical hands-on support regarding tools to prevent and manage conflict of interest in support of developing multisectoral nutrition plans. At the workshop, participants:

1. Reached consensus on what constitutes a conflict of interest through the use of case studies
2. Learned about potential tools and mechanisms on conflict of interest and where they may be introduced in the multisectoral planning and action phase
3. Heard about the Indonesia experience with developing a conflict of interest policy in support of effective multisectoral planning
4. Agreed to next steps, actions, and support to take conflict of interest discussions forward at the country level
