In its sixth year, FANTA’s technical assistance programs and projects worked with partners, ministries, and health care professionals in 17 countries to scale-up evidence-based nutrition interventions. From October 2016 to September 2017, we strengthened the capacity of over 2,800 health care professionals, developed 32 tools to support nutrition programs, and assisted with the development of 9 global- and national-level nutrition policies. In addition, our innovative research was published in several high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
FANTA is committed to supporting USAID’s Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy 2014-2025. We work to strengthen food security and health policies, programs, and systems for improved nutrition, striving to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable individuals, families, and communities in developing countries.
