The Mozambique Ministry of Health and FANTA, during an assessment of the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative, found that health care workers in Mozambique needed clear guidance on how to counsel HIV-positive mothers on the best infant and young child feeding practices. FANTA created a job aid to help health care workers make accurate recommendations and ensure the safest and best feeding approach for children born to HIV-positive mothers.
